The Bode City Council met in regular session Monday November 1, 2021 at 5:30PM in the council chambers. Councilmembers Tepner and Peterson were present, council Fulwider joined via telephone. Mayor Pro-tem Douglas, called the meeting to order. A motion was made by Tepner, second by Peterson to approve the agenda as posted. All ayes, motion carried. A motion was made by Tepner, second by Peterson to approve the minutes of the Oct 4th meeting as published. All ayes, motion carried.
Mayor Pro-Tem Douglas gave the city maintenance report; informing the council that draw down at the lagoon has begun, Iowa Rural Water helped with smoke testing on 10/27/21 six leaks were detected and will be repaired; this report will be sent to SEH Engineering firm when complete. The dump truck has been repaired and serviced, the garbage truck was serviced an oil leak was detected and will be repaired at O’Halloran, Jeremy Ricklefs will also service the city tractor.
The council reviewed a Sanitation Contract from Bennett Recycling & Sanitation and a Service Bid from Jeff’s Lawn and Snow Care, these items were tabled until November 15th at which time a special council meeting will be held.
The City Clerk informed the council that an ad was placed in the Humboldt Independent and also the Humboldt Reminder for a Temporary Full Time Maintenance Position, all applications are to be received by November 15th.
The council reviewed a “Return to Work” statement for Todd McMahon, city clerk directed to contact Todd and request a more detailed report as to answer a few questions.
A motion was made by Peterson, second by Tepner to approve the 2021 Street Finance Report. All ayes, motion carried.

A copy of the Municipal Leadership academy was handed out to council. A motion was made by Fulwider, second by Peterson to adjourn @ 7:10PM.
